SHIFA Afghan is a nonprofit organization built on compassion, not personal gain.
Founded under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law, we exist solely to serve vulnerable communities such as in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
Our mission is to establish and operate health center(s) that directly address the region’s most pressing health challenges. In rural areas where access to care is scarce, especially for women and children, we bring healing, education, and dignity-one village, one family, one life at a time.

Why Do We Exist?
In places like Kunar, healthcare is not just a service - it is often a dream out of reach. For thousands of Afghans, especially women and children in rural communities, even basic medical attention can feel worlds away.
SHIFA Afghan was born to close that distance. Through health centers built from generosity and operated with compassion, we deliver care to those who need it the most. Whether it is a simple checkup or lifesaving treatment, we make sure that no one is left behind.
We exist to answer pressing health needs with lasting solutions - to turn isolation into access, and fear into hope.

Our dream is a future in which rural Afghans have consistent access to care, knowledge, and dignity. A future built by local hands, sustained by global hearts, and powered by those who believe health is a human rights.

Our work is focused on establishing and operating health center(s) across Kunar Province in Afghanistan - a region where access to care remains a challenge for many, especially women and children in rural communities. We provide primary health care, from curative treatments to preventative services and health promotion. But our mission goes far beyond illness. We believe that knowledge is just as powerful as medicine.
